In general, the study shows that, although a lack of desire in bed is not a reason for separation for many, the romantic idea of eternal fidelity is now outdated and other paths can be taken. It is apparently normal that the role and intensity of eroticism diminishes after living together for a longer period of time, but satisfying one’s needs carries more weight nowadays and entails unconventional compromises. It is important to communicate openly about sexual desires, says Lovepoint CEO Herkert about the results of his survey.
