The Christian Socialists are seeking a commercial permit requirement for brothels and a mandatory health examination for prostitutes in order to curb forced prostitution. According to Uhl, the Red-Green resolution of 2002 “might have meant well” but only “strengthened the position of the pimps.” “Unfortunately, Red-Green has put brothels in a better position than any other trade,” Uhl continued. Regular doctor’s consultations would also allow for confidential discussions that could reduce forced prostitution.
